TIME FOR A NEW SKETCH AT LET'S SCRAP!

Have you ever had one of those days ...

.... when you are halfway through a card and you look at it and think ...."Whaaaaaaaat?'  It's not working and so you ask hubby (who knows nothing about which colours go together, etc, etc, and thinks that everything you do is 'very nice') Then you ask your sons ... "that's nice, mom" - standard answer, even if I showed them a blank page :)

So you soldier on, in the opes that you are being over critical and that it will all come together in the end.

Well the card I made for this sketch didn't ... and as it fell under the banner of :what were you thinking, Jen?" it's now found a new home ... in the bin!

So, this is the double page layout sketch to follow

I used the right hand page, rotated it a quarter turn to the right, and made this vintage inspired card:

The image is part of Graphic 45 "Secret Garden" - think,  and the background DP is from an unknown source as this is just an offcut.  The blue DP was overprinted  - digital vintage script

The edges are distressed with my trusty seam ripper and also inked

You can see the little braid trim tabs with their pearl beads sewn on in the pic above.

On the left hand side I sewed on some lace, added a satin ribbon and bow, and a double layer flower (fabric/paper) with  large flat back pearl centre.
